FIR against Apna Dal MLA, 150 others for blocking highway

Pratapgarh, Sep 13 An FIR has been registered against an Apna Dal MLA and 150 party workers for blocking the Raebareli-Varanasi Highway to protest the alleged misbehavior of a local leader with Union Minister Anupriya Patel.

Local leader Vinod Dubey and over 157 others had on Sunday allegedly misbehaved with Patel and Apna Dal workers during their party's roadshow.

Subsequently, the protesters led by party legislator R K Verma had blocked traffic on the highway for six hours to protest the incident.

A case was yesterday registered against them at Raniganj police station, a senior police officer said.

Also, an FIR was on Sunday registered against Dubey and 158 people for "misbehaving" with the Union Minister.
