The launch of Apple's iPhone 17 series turned Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex into a scene of chaos on Friday morning, as tech lovers and eager buyers clashed to grab the latest devices. Social media and PTI videos showed a crowd packed tightly outside the store, pushing, shoving, and jostling to be among the first to own the coveted gadgets.

In one clip, a man in a red shirt struggled with security personnel, attempting to strike a guard before being restrained. Elsewhere, a shopper in white checked on the guard's condition, while another officer stood with a lathi raised, seemingly overwhelmed by the sheer number of people. Later, a man in black-and-white attire was escorted by an armed guard in combat fatigues, highlighting the intensity of the crowd.

Security Challenges

Shoppers and onlookers attributed the chaos to inadequate security arrangements. Mohan Yadav, a buyer from Ahmedabad, expressed his frustration:

"I've been waiting since morning, but people keep cutting lines. The security has no control, and those standing behind have no chance to buy."

Nationwide Excitement

Mumbai wasn't the only hotspot. In Delhi's Select Citywalk Mall, buyers camped overnight outside the store, while Bengaluru saw long queues, though the frenzy was slightly more controlled.
