Fifth Car-Free Day in south Delhi's Munirka on Feb 22
New Delhi, Feb 18: The fifth 'Car-Free Day' in the national capital will be held on February 22 in the Munirka area of south Delhi as part of the Delhi government's efforts to bring down pollution levels.
The restriction will be in place on that day from Munirka T-point on Vivekanand Marg till a stretch of around 4km, a senior government official said.

"A cycle rally from Munirka Bus Stand will be organised on the same road stretch. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia will also participate in the event," the official said.
In order to encourage people to use public transport and bring down pollution levels in the city, Delhi government holds Car-Free Days on the 22nd of every month on a selected thoroughfare in the city.
Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai has already announced that the city government will observe World Car-Free Day on September 22 across the national capital.
