Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh passed away at the age of 92 on Thursday night. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi announced his death. He was admitted to the emergency ward around 8:30 PM in critical condition. According to an AIIMS bulletin, Singh was treated for age-related health issues and had experienced a sudden loss of consciousness at home on December 26.

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra expressed her condolences over Singh's passing. She highlighted his unwavering dedication to serving the nation, even when faced with unfair and personal attacks from opponents. "Few people in politics inspire the kind of respect that Sardar Manmohan Singh ji did," she stated in a post on X.
