Few Army personnel likely behind Bhatinda military camp strike
A terror angle to the firing inside the Bhatinda Military camp has been ruled out with officials say that it was it is a fratricidal incident.
Four Army jawans of an artillery unit succumbed to gunshot injuries sustained during the firing incident inside the camp. No other loss or damage to property has been reported even as the area continues to remain sealed off.

Reports say that a few Army personnel may be behind this incident. One Insas rifle with 28 cartridges had gone missing around two days back. Further the firing was also likely planned by one or two people, hence suggesting that the incident was not borne out of rage.
Meanwhile the families the jawans have been informed about the incident and the loss of lives.
All possible angles are being probed and nothing has been ruled out as yet, reports also said.
The incident took place inside the officers' mess of the military station. Reports also said that the shooter was in civilian clothes. "A firing incident was reported in the early hours of the morning around 4.35 am inside Bathinda Military Station. Station Quick Reaction Teams were activated. Area was cordoned off and sealed. Search operations are in progress. Four fatal casualties have been reported. Further details are being ascertained," a statement by the Army said.
Additional director general of police (ADG) Surinder Pal Singh Parmar said, "no terror or fedayeen attack angle in this. Search is on for two people with weapons."Those investigating the case said that prima facie it does not seem like a terror attack. It appears to be a case of fratricide. It was also found that the killers had planned this incident over the past couple of days. Some Army personnel are behind the incident and the fact that it was pre-planned can be seen from the fact that the killers had not acted in a fit of rage, the preliminary probe has found.
