Fatwa issued against Muslim woman for teaching yoga in Ranchi

A fatwa has been issued against Yoga teacher Rafia Naaz in Ranchi for teaching Yoga. A resident of Doranda locality in Ranchi, Rafia Naaz ekes out a living for her family by teaching yoga. She is the eldest of her siblings and also doing M.Com from a local college.

Rafia Naaz,a Yoga Teacher said ANI that she had received many threats, and expressed gratitude to the state government for providing her with security.

''I have received a lot of threats, I am thankful to the State Govt for providing security. I will not be scared and will continue with what I am doing,'' she said.

According to DCP Damoh said,''I have been told that cleanliness drive was going on in school. Children were not made to do anything like that. If it is found that they were made to do so then action will be taken against people responsible.''
