The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has announced that all FASTags with incomplete Know Your Customer (KYC) will be deactivated or blacklisted by banks after January 31, even if there's a sufficient balance. This measure is implemented to curb the issuance of multiple FASTags for a single vehicle, the distribution of FASTags without KYC verification, and the intentional non-fixing of FASTags on vehicle windscreens.

To update your KYC for FASTag, follow these steps:

1. Visit the bank-linked FASTag website.
2. Log in using your registered mobile number and enter the OTP received.
3. Go to the "My Profile" section and click on the KYC tab.
4. Fill in the necessary details, such as address proof, and click the submit button.
5. Your KYC will be completed, and the KYC page will display your updated status.

To check FASTag status:

• Visit fastag.ihmcl.com.
• Click on the Login tab on the top right part of the website.
• Log in by providing the registered mobile number for OTP.
• In the dashboard's "My Profile" section, check the KYC status and profile details submitted during registration.
• You can also perform these actions on your bank's website.
