Faridabad Murder: Accused Raped Daughter-In-Law Before Strangling Her To Death, Buried Corpse In Pit Later
Disturbing new details have emerged in the murder of a 25-year-old woman in Faridabad, Haryana, with police alleging that her father-in-law raped and then killed her before burying her body in a pit, according to a report by news agency PTI.
Authorities further claimed that the woman's mother-in-law was also involved in the crime and has been taken into custody. Meanwhile, the victim's husband, Arun, remains at large and is currently being sought by police.

The primary accused, Bhoop Singh-the woman's father-in-law-has been remanded to police custody for a further three days. A police official stated that during questioning, he allegedly confessed to the murder, admitting it had been planned in advance.
The woman was reportedly killed and buried outside her in-laws' home, with the family managing to conceal the body for nearly two months after reporting her missing in April.
Originally from Shikohabad in Uttar Pradesh's Firozabad district, the woman had been married to Arun Singh of Roshan Nagar, Faridabad, for two years.
Murder planned in April
According to a senior investigating officer quoted by PTI, the murder was allegedly premeditated and planned for 15 April. The husband and mother-in-law were also reportedly involved.
Bhoop Singh is said to have confessed that, as part of the plan, his wife was sent away to attend a wedding in Etah, Uttar Pradesh. Then, on 21 April, Arun allegedly laced food with sleeping pills, causing both his wife and sister, Kajal, to fall into a deep sleep in separate rooms.
Later that night, Bhoop Singh allegedly entered the victim's room with the intent to strangle her with a dupatta. However, before committing the murder, he reportedly raped her without informing either his son or his wife.
He then called Arun to assist in disposing of the body, which they buried in a pit that had been dug outside the house in advance. They then covered the pit with bricks and soil, telling neighbours it was for a sewer connection.
The body was discovered on 21 June, buried beneath a concrete slab covering a 10-foot-deep pit. Police confirmed the pit had been dug days prior to the incident.
The exhumation was carried out in the presence of Naib Tehsildar Jaswant Singh. An FIR has been registered at Palla police station against Bhoop Singh, his wife Sonia, son Arun Singh, and daughter Kajal.
After the murder, Arun allegedly misled the woman's family by claiming she may have eloped, saying the gate was open when he awoke on 22 April.
Growing suspicious, her family approached Faridabad police and requested they question the father-in-law. During further interrogation, Bhoop Singh allegedly confessed to the crime.
Police have stated that the husband, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law could face arrest if their involvement is substantiated.
The original missing person report has now been upgraded to a murder case under Sections 103(1) (murder), 3(5) (common intention), and 61 (criminal conspiracy) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
