Fans rejoice, burst crackers outside Salman Khan's residence after HC suspends actor's jail term

Mumbai, May 8: Fans gathered outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence went berserk as soon as the Bombay High Court suspended the Mumbai Session court's sentence against the actor, on Friday.

The news of Salman getting a major relief from the high court spread like a wildfire and fans started celebrating outside the Bollywood superstar's residence in suburban Bandra.

Chants of 'bhai, bhai' started reverberating outside the Galaxy Apartment in suburban Bandra. The fans were seen dancing and bursting crackers outside the Dabangg star's house.

Salman is now headed to Mumbai Sessions court to get his bail extended and furnish bail bond. The fans now hope that their beloved actor comes out and waves at them once he's back from the court.

Justice Abhay Thipsay of the Bombay High Court on Friday heared the plea of the 49-year-old actor, who was given two days interim bail by the HC on Wednesday after he was sentenced to for five years rigorous imprisonment by a sessions court in the case.

A strong posse of police has been deployed outside Salman's home at Galaxy apartment in Bandra.

Soon after the Bombay High Court's ruling the actor has had a steady stream of visitors. Earlier yesterday, MNS chief Raj Thackeray and his Bollywood colleagues like Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and Karan Johar visited the actor to convey their support.
