Fake quiz show: Online gambling busted in Mathura, 24 arrested

Mathura, Oct 22: At least 24 people were arrested for being allegedly involved in online gambling here, with the police recovering Rs 38,000 and other electronic goods from their possession.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided three places near the Highway area here on Oct 20 and arrested 24 people, SP (City) Shailendra Pandey said.

The accused were running a gambling racket online in the garb of a quiz show, he said.

Money worth Rs 38,000, an LCD, computer and other electronic goods were recovered from their possession, police added.
