Fake Hotel Reviews And Phony Online Jobs: How Scamsters Cheat Netizens
Have you ever visited restaurants or hotels based on online ratings, only to be shocked by their poor or bad service? If so, you might have fallen victim to the 'fake ratings' scam.
Purshottam Joshi from Oneindia Hindi has uncovered an exclusive report on a fake review scam that is prevalent in several parts of the country including in Rajasthan.

Let's delve into the narrative of the fake online ratings on hotels and restaurants. The shocking part of the story reveals that netizens are falling prey to this scam through two distinct avenues. Firstly, people trust these fake ratings to choose hotels and restaurants, only to be disappointed by the actual service. Secondly, a more insidious scam involves unemployed youths who are recruited to provide ratings. They are lured with the promise of easy money, only to be later coerced into investing in the company for its supposed growth.
A multitude of unemployed youths, eager to make a quick buck, find themselves entangled in this web of deceit. Under the false pretence of easy earnings, they are instructed to give ratings to hotels and restaurants, unknowingly contributing to a larger, nefarious plot.

Simultaneously, the masterminds behind the scheme approach these unsuspecting youths with a tempting proposition. After a few successful reviews, they are enticed to invest in the company, promising substantial returns and the opportunity to be part of a growing empire. The web of deception thickens as the lines between genuine reviews and deceit blur.
The process begins with the reviewers being paid through UPI accounts directly into their bank accounts. Subsequently, they are encouraged to invest amounts ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 80,000. The promise of margin profits in the early stages lures them into making more significant investments.
There will make the people undergo six tasks in the process and screenshots of a message from a company called ITinfo Digital Marketing are shared in this article.

In some cases, reviewers are paid Rs 210 per review for hotels in locations like Rajasthan, Jaipur, Goa, Mumbai, etc. The monetary incentive becomes a double-edged sword, enticing them into a scheme that not only compromises the integrity of online ratings but also puts their own financial well-being at risk.
As the story unfolds, the unsuspecting participants become unwitting pawns in a larger game of deception, exposing the darker side of the online review ecosystem. The tale serves as a cautionary reminder to those who rely on digital ratings and the unseen consequences that may lie behind seemingly harmless stars and reviews.
