FB turned down WhatsApp co-founder, paid the price 4 yrs later

WhatsApp-Facebook
Washington, Feb 20: Meet the co-founder of WhatsApp-Brian Acton-who sold his bestselling company to Facebook for a whopping $19 billion. For many, it would seem a mere business strategy, but Facebook knows better. Let's dig deeper!

A 2009 Tweet by Acton clears all airs. It read: "Facebook turned me down. It was a great opportunity to connect with some fantastic people. Looking forward to life's next adventure."

Clearly, after having been turned down by the social-media giant, he created one of its own which is a household name across the globe.

Interestingly, he was also turned down by Twitter in 2009. Surely, Acton said well when he was talking of an adventure in the future, which turned out to be as thrilling as a 450 million-user mobile messaging giant and the largest-ever venture-backed deal.
