The company has also appointed its own three-member women team to probe the incident and urged that if any mischief has been perpetrated by anybody, such person should be punished as per law.

Referring to Friday's incident and Calangute police's action vide a first information report filed against the company, Fabindia said it was a women-centric organisation with 70 percent women comprising its workforce.

"Fabindia and its products are loved by women across the country and the globe. We highly value the dignity of women and stand for it. Customer is supreme for us," it said.

Four salespersons were arrested on Friday after Irani detected a camera allegedly installed in the women's trial room when she went for shopping along with her husband Zubin Irani and later complained to police.
