Fabindia apologises to Irani, but denies installing spycams
Mumbai/New Delhi, Apr 4: A day after a spycam were detected in its outlet in Goa, Fabindia Overseas Pvt. Ltd on Saturday apologised to union HRD Minister Smriti Irani but denied that there were any hidden cameras installed anywhere in the store or in the trial rooms.
In a statement, the company said: "We would like to convey our apologies to the hon' minister Smriti Irani for the inconvenience that has been inadvertently caused."

However, it said that the camera in question at the store in Candolim was part of a surveillance system and installed in the shopping area of the outlet. [Crime Branch likely to summon Fabindia top officials]

"Fabindia and its products are loved by women across the country and the globe. We highly value the dignity of women and stand for it. Customer is supreme for us," it said.
Four salespersons were arrested on Friday after Irani detected a camera allegedly installed in the women's trial room when she went for shopping along with her husband Zubin Irani and later complained to police.
