F1 driver Narain Karthikeyan picks Ola cab customers in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Sep 10: A few lucky customers of Olacabs were driven around the city by India's first and only Formula One (F1) driver Narain Karthikeyan as part of the company's "Prime Time" campaign.

Under "Ola presents Prime Time with Narain Karthikeyan", a few "Ola Select" customers were picked up by the F1 driver and dropped off at their destinations.

In the video which is available on YouTube, Karthikeyan, in the driver's seat and stand-up comedian Abish Mathew, surprise the customers.

"You don't know how amazing it is to have a chauffeur driven car where your chauffeur is more popular than you. You don't know right? But we are going to make you know how it feels to be driven around by a celebrity," Mathew says in the video before introducing Karthikeyan.

"...Our celebrity for the day is Narain Karthikeyan," he added.

The 38-year-old Karthikeyan asks, "We are taking them for a drive. So do you want me to scare the s**t out of them.. no?"

After asking the customers - "Are you ready to get surprised," Mathew and Karthikeyan pick their first customers.

Karthikeyan requests the customer to "Jump in" next to him while the other person sits in the backseat with Mathew.

The duo is asked few questions by Mathew and one of them is "What is his (Karthikeyan's) third name?". And the man himself answers it - "Narain". His full name is Kumar Ram Narain Karthikeyan.

As the car comes to a halt, it is time for selfies. And Karthikeyan had two more trips to do.

The next customer, with a stunned look on his face, reacts, "Unbelievable. I can't believe this has happened to me."

The third and final person to have been driven by Karthikeyan says after the trip, "Thank you so much".

In the end, Karthikeyan says, "Both of us had lot of fun."
