In Maharashtra, the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance is seeking to retain power, while the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is aiming for a strong comeback. Voting began at 7 am across all 288 constituencies and will continue until 6 pm, with results set to be announced on November 23. Over 9.7 crore voters will choose from 4,136 candidates, according to an election official.

Meanwhile, voting for 38 assembly seats in the second and final phase of the Jharkhand elections is also underway, with tight security measures in place, officials reported. Polling started at 7 am in 14,218 booths across 12 districts and will continue until 5 pm. Exit polls from various agencies are expected to begin shortly after the final vote is cast, offering projections on the likely winners and their margin of victory for the Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections.

NCP-SCP leader Clyde Crasto expressed scepticism about the reliability of exit polls, drawing parallels with the recent Haryana elections where predictions differed significantly from the final outcome.
"These are exit polls; we saw what happened in Haryana. Exit polls show one thing, and the final result turns out to be something else. The truth is, the ground reality is different," Crasto remarked.

According to the Dainik Bhaskar's exit poll data, a neck and neck contest is likely to take place between JMM-led INDIA Bloc and NDA (BJP and AJSU). JMM and Congress are likely to win 36 to 39 seats. While BJP and AJSU are likely to claim 37 to 40 seat.
Jharkhand can see a close fight as per P Marq, wherein NDA may win 31-40 seats, and INDIA can secure between 37-47 seats.
