Exceptional: PM Modi congratulates 'RRR' and 'The Elephant Whisperers' for Oscars 2023 win
Congratulatory messages are pouring in from all sides of the world, and now PM Narendra Modi has put a sweet message on Twitter.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated two big Oscar winners from India on March 13 after the winners of the 95th Academy Awards were announced putting 'RRR' song 'Naatu Naatu' and Tamil documentary short 'The Elephant Whisperers' in the spotlight.
"Naatu Naatu", the peppy, foot-tapping chartbuster from SS Rajamouli's Telugu period action film "RRR", waltzed its way to history by becoming the first Indian track to win the Academy Award in the Best Original Song category.
"Naatu Naatu" was nominated alongside "Applause" from from "Tell It Like a Woman", 'Hold My Hand' from "Top Gun: Maverick", 'Lift Me Up' from "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" and 'This Is a Life' from "Everything Everywhere All at Once".

Taking to micro-blogging platform, PM Modi wrote, "Exceptional! The popularity of 'Naatu Naatu' is global. It will be a song that will be remembered for years to come. Congratulations to @mmkeeravaani,@boselyricist and the entire team for this prestigious honour. India is elated and proud. #Oscars."
