Ex-RSS Members Establish Janhit Party to Contest in Upcoming MP Elections
'Janhit Party', a new political outfit has been announced by former RSS volunteers. The party aims to push existing political parties to improve governance ahead of the year-end polls in Madhya Pradesh. The party is yet-to-be-registered but is expected to draw votes from disgruntled BJP supporters.
The political landscape of Madhya Pradesh is set for a new entrant as a group of former Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) volunteers announced their decision to form a new political outfit, the Janhit Party. This announcement comes ahead of the year-end polls in Madhya Pradesh and is expected to bring about significant changes in the local political dynamics.
Forming The Janhit Party

The founders of the party believe that existing political parties have deviated from democratic values. "We have formed the Janhit Party as all political parties’ culture is against the basic values of democracy. All have failed," said Abhay Jain, former RSS pracharak, while addressing reporters after a meeting with his ex-colleagues at Misrod, near state capital Bhopal.
Potential Impact on BJP's Vote Bank
Jain also indicated that their yet-to-be-registered party could potentially affect the vote bank of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He stated that it might appear outwardly that their party will eat into BJP’s votes but clarified that they were not present during 2018 MP elections when BJP lost its votes to Congress. He further added that people are dissatisfied with how BJP government has been functioning in Madhya Pradesh.
A New Preference for Voters
Jain believes that those who are unhappy with BJP but still possess a Hindu mindset would prefer them over other parties. In his words, "What will happen when we appear on the political stage? Those who are unhappy with the BJP but have a Hindu mindset will prefer us." He argued further by saying if BJP loses five votes due to their presence, these won't necessarily go to Congress according to 'political arithmetic'.
Mounting Pressure on Existing Parties
One of the major objectives behind forming the Janhit Party is to mount pressure on existing political parties to improve governance. Jain firmly believes that their move will push other parties to step up and deliver better governance in order to retain their voter base.
In conclusion, the formation of the Janhit Party by former RSS volunteers could be a game-changer in Madhya Pradesh politics. The party’s emphasis on democratic values and improved governance might appeal to voters who are dissatisfied with current political options. However, it remains to be seen how this new entrant will fare in the upcoming polls against established political heavyweights like BJP and Congress.
