Ex-MLA Patnam Narender Reddy Admits to Planning Attack on Telangana Officials Under KT Rama Rao's Direction
The Telangana Police have accused former BRS MLA Patnam Narender Reddy of orchestrating an attack on district officials in Vikarabad. This incident occurred during a public hearing on land acquisition. The police claim that Reddy acted under the guidance of the party's Working President, KT Rama Rao, and others. Reddy faces charges of conspiracy and abetment, with police naming him as the main suspect.

According to a police remand report, confessions from previously arrested individuals pointed to Reddy as the chief conspirator. The report alleges that he planned the attack to destabilise the government. Reddy was arrested at his home on Wednesday and taken to a police station in Parigi town. His arrest brings the total number of arrests related to the November 11 incident to 21.
Conspiracy Allegations and Arrest Details
The attack took place in Lagacharla village of Dudyala mandal, where villagers protested against land acquisition for pharmaceutical companies. Following his arrest, Reddy was presented in court and placed in judicial custody. Police allege that during interrogation, Reddy confessed to conspiring and abetting others to destabilise the government for political gain.
Reddy reportedly admitted to acting on instructions from party leaders, including KT Rama Rao, to tarnish the Telangana government's image. He also confessed to frequently contacting another accused individual, B Suresh, who is currently absconding. This contact was allegedly made to oversee the execution of their plans.
Political Implications and Further Investigations
The police report suggests that Reddy's actions were politically motivated, aiming to gain political mileage by defaming the Telangana government. The investigation continues as authorities seek B Suresh and other involved parties. The case highlights tensions surrounding land acquisition issues in Telangana.
As investigations proceed, authorities are focused on uncovering more details about the conspiracy. The involvement of high-profile political figures has drawn significant attention to the case. The situation underscores ongoing challenges related to land acquisition and political dynamics in the region.
The arrest of Narender Reddy marks a significant development in this case. It reflects broader concerns about political influence and unrest linked to land acquisition disputes in Telangana. The outcome of this investigation could have lasting implications for regional politics and governance.
