Even Australia’s Opposition Attended: PM Modi’s Veiled Dig Amidst Parliament Row
After returning from a three nation tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a veiled dig at the Opposition which has decided to boycott the inauguration of the new Parliament building on May 28.
During his three nation tour, the PM also visited Australia and held a bilateral with his counterpart Antony Albanese. Referring to an event held in Sydney, which was attended by thousands of Indians, the PM said, 'not just the Australian PM, but the country's former PM and Opposition leaders were present together for the sake of the nation.'

On his arrival, workers of the BJP led by party president J P Nadda accorded a warm welcome to the PM. " I glorify my nation before the world without any hesitation, but with confidence and pride," the PM said.
When I talk the world does not only believe in me, but also believes in the 140 crore Indians whom I represent," he also said.
"All the leaders I met and all the personalities I spoke to have been mesmerised and appreciative of India holding the G20 presidency so well. This is a matter of great pride for all Indians," PM Modi said.
Taking a swipe at critics, he said that they questioned the decision to give away vaccines to other countries during COVID-19.
"Remember this is the land of Buddha and Gandhi. We care even for our enemies and we are inspired by compassion," he also said.
He also said that the world is listening to India's story and we should never suffer from slave mentality.
