EU delegation meets Assam CEO

Guwahati, Mar 8: A high-level delegation of political counsellors from the European Union met the Assam Chief Electoral Officer today and discussed about the upcoming election in the state.

Representatives from 12 countries of the EU had an in-depth discussion on the electoral system and preparedness in the state, said an Election Department release.

The EU representatives also discussed about the steps taken by the Election Commission to ensure free and fair polls in the state, it said.
