Assam: Repolling at 1 booth in Kokrajhar conducted peacefully

Guwahati, Apr 18: Repolling at one polling booth in Kokrajhar of Assam was on Sunday conducted peacefully with 88.15 per cent of the voters exercising their franchise.

Repolling was necessitated at number 24 Kachugaon ME School (right side) under Gossaigaon constituency as the EVM malfunctioned during the second phase of polling on April 11.

Election official said repolling was completed peacefully and 88.15 per cent voting was recorded.

While 90.05 per cent males casted their votes, female voting percentage stood at 86.05 per cent.

The overall poll percentage of Assam Assembly polls, which was held in two phases, stood at 84.72 per cent.
