ENX Exit Poll Predicts Clear Edge for NDA as Bihar Records Historic Voter Turnout

The ENX Exit Poll has projected a commanding lead for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the Bihar Assembly Election 2025, even as the state witnessed its highest-ever voter turnout in history.

According to ENX's estimates, the NDA is likely to win between 150 and 170 seats in the 243-member Assembly - a result that, if proven accurate, could pave the way for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to retain power comfortably. The Mahagathbandhan (MGB), led by Tejashwi Yadav, is projected to secure 70-90 seats, while Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj Party may manage only 0-2 seats.

The ENX poll suggests that the NDA's performance was particularly strong in regions such as Bhojpur, Mithilanchal, and Pataliputra-Magadh, where voter turnout remained robust. Analysts believe the NDA's advantage stems from its focus on welfare delivery, infrastructure, and women-centric schemes, which may have resonated with a large section of the electorate.

The exit poll results came as Bihar recorded a record-breaking turnout of 66.91%, the highest since 1951. The second phase of polling saw an impressive 68.76% participation, while the first phase logged 65.09%. In a striking trend, women voters outnumbered men, with 71.6% of women casting their votes compared to 62.8% of men.

While the ENX predictions have boosted NDA's confidence, the Mahagathbandhan has dismissed them as premature, asserting that the high turnout indicates a "wave for change." Opposition leaders argue that exit polls have often failed to capture Bihar's complex social and regional dynamics accurately.
