Emerging Science and Technology Conclave to Unite India's Traditional Health Wisdom with Modern Innovations

The Emerging Science, Technology, and Innovation Conclave in India will showcase the integration of traditional health wisdom with modern technologies from November 3 to 5. This event aims to highlight India's innovative healthcare ecosystem and promote collaboration for a sustainable future.

The Ayush Ministry announced that the Emerging Science, Technology, and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC) will take place over three days in November. This event aims to merge India's traditional health practices with modern technology. A press conference was held at the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) Headquarters to discuss the conclave scheduled from November 3 to November 5.

Joint Secretary Alarmelmangai D. chaired the press conference, highlighting the significance of ESTIC as a national initiative celebrating India's scientific progress and collaborative efforts. "ESTIC 2025 is not just another event - it is a celebration of India's innovation ecosystem and a reflection of how science and technology can co-create a healthier, sustainable future," she stated.

Focus on Healthcare Innovation

The Joint Secretary emphasised the ongoing transformation within India's healthcare system, driven by advancements in biomedical engineering, AI diagnostics, and precision medicine. She noted that while modern healthcare evolves, there is also a growing interest in Ayurveda and other Ayush systems for preventive and holistic health approaches. "Together, these approaches can redefine healthcare for India and the world," she remarked.

Dr. A Raghu, Adviser Ay, spoke about ESTIC 2025's role in showcasing India-centric innovations and integrative healthcare solutions. "Our participation in ESTIC reflects the Ministry's commitment to building a self-reliant, innovation-driven, and globally recognised healthcare ecosystem," he said.

Digital Initiatives for Healthcare

The Ayush Ministry highlighted its Ayush Grid as a comprehensive digital platform suite. It includes initiatives like the Ayush Hospital Management Information System (A-HMIS) for efficient healthcare delivery and the e-Learning Management System (e-LMS) for digital education and student lifecycle management. The Y-Break App promotes workplace wellness.

Additional platforms such as the Yoga Portal, e-Aushadhi, and Ayush Suraksha focus on drug regulation and patient safety. The Ayush Research Portal, Clinical Case Repository, Ayusoft, and NAMASTE Portal are enhancing research, clinical documentation, and standardisation efforts nationwide.

Event Organisation

ESTIC will be hosted at Bharat Mandapam and organised by the Department of Science and Technology (DST). This event underscores India's dedication to fostering an innovative healthcare ecosystem that integrates traditional wisdom with cutting-edge technology.

The conclave represents a significant step towards redefining healthcare through collaboration between traditional practices and modern advancements. By bringing together diverse approaches, India aims to create a sustainable future in healthcare both nationally and globally.
