Efforts on to check dog, monkey menace in Parliament

"The measures being taken include scaring the monkeys away by trained persons who disguise themselves as langurs," Naidu stated in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha.
He said that the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) has hired 40 young people for this purpose.
"NDMC also acquired rubber bullet guns for scaring away the monkeys," he added.
Naidu added that a team of dog catchers will be visiting Parliament House and surrounding areas twice a week to catch unimmunised and unsterilised stray dogs.
