Money laundering case: ED attaches Jagan Mohan Reddy's properties worth Rs 47 crore
Hyderabad, Dec 15: In a major set back to the YSR Congress Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Enforcement Directorate on Monday attached properties belonging to Sakshi, Janani Infrastructure and Jagati publications, worth Rs 47 crore.
Following the filing of cases, the ED attached properties at Kammam, Warrangal, Krishna, Karimnagar, Mahboobnagar and Chitoor.
The attachment of properties would mean that it cannot be leased or sold. However the employees will continue to work as normal from those buildings.
Cases were filed after it was alleged that money had been invested into Indra television Ltd, Janani Infrastructure and Jagati publications belonging to Jagan Reddy the son of former chief minister of unified Andhra Pradesh Y S rajashekara Reddy.
This attachment comes after the Enforcement Directorate had a few months back attached properties of Jagan worth Rs 863 crore.
In all there are 11 different chargesheet filed against Jagan and his accomplices.
All cases are pertaining to corruption and money laundering. It was alleged that Jagan and his companies had got kick backs.
