ECI Announces June Bypoll Schedule For Gujarat, Kerala, Punjab, West Bengal
The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Sunday declared the schedule for by-elections to five Assembly constituencies across Gujarat, Kerala, Punjab, and West Bengal.
As per the official announcement, polling in these four states is scheduled to take place on 19 June, with vote counting set for June 23.

The Commission's notification also outlined other key dates related to the electoral process. The gazette notification will be issued on May 26.
Candidates will have until June 2 to file their nominations, with scrutiny scheduled for June 3. The final date for withdrawal of candidatures will be June 5.
In March, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) named its leader Gopal Italia as its candidate for the Visavadar Assembly seat in Gujarat.
This constituency, located in Junagadh district, has remained vacant since December 2023 following the resignation of AAP MLA Bhupendra Bhayani, who subsequently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
