Earthquake measuring 5.4 rocks Andaman and Nicobar islands
Port Blair, May 1: A low intensity earthquake jolted the Andaman islands on Friday afternoon. This comes a week after a strong earthquake measuring 7.9 struck Nepal.
The low intensity earthquake measure 5.4 on the Richter scale and the epicenter was located 135 km southwest of Port Blair.

No damage has been reported as of now.
Meanwhile, a strong earthquake measuring 6.7 rocked New Papua Guinea today [Earthquake measuring 7.1 rocks Papua New Guinea]
India was badly hit after a devastating earthquake jolted Kathmandu, Nepal on April 25. Many casualties were reported from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. Death toll in Nepal crossed 6,000.
