A low-intensity earthquake struck Leh early Thursday morning, causing brief panic among residents. The tremors were felt around 3:54 am on April 30.

According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake measured 4.1 on the Richter scale. The quake occurred at a depth of 150 km, making it a deep-focus event.

The epicentre was located at coordinates near Leh, confirming that the region experienced the tremors directly.

Despite the early morning shock, there have been no reports of injuries or property damage. Authorities have confirmed that the situation remains under control.
Residents briefly stepped out of their homes due to the tremors, but normalcy returned soon after.
