DU Admissions 2024: Fee Surge For First-Year Students Across All Programmes; Check Revised Fees Here
Delhi University (DU) has announced an increase in fees for all first-year students across undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programmes starting from the 2024-2025 academic session. This decision comes ahead of the admissions process, which will commence soon after the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) results are released.
According to the revised fee structure, the first-year fees for the B.Tech programme have been raised by 3.70 per cent, going from Rs 2.16 lakh to Rs 2.24 lakh. The fee hike was approved by DU Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh in June.

The five-year Integrated Law Programme has seen a fee increase of five per cent, rising from Rs 1.90 lakh to Rs 1.99 lakh. Additionally, the fees for the four-year Integrated Teachers Education Programme (ITEP), which has replaced the Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EL.ED) under the Faculty of Education, have been increased to Rs 57,400.
PhD students will experience a significant hike in their fees, with the overall cost increasing by 60.22 per cent. From the upcoming session, scholars will be required to pay Rs 7,130, up from the previous Rs 4,450.
Several components of the fee structure have been adjusted, including tuition fees, the student welfare fund, development fees, facilities and services charges, and the economically weaker section support fund. Notably, the contribution share for the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) has been removed from the fee structure.
The start of DU admissions for 2024 is expected to be delayed by a month due to the pending CUET UG results. The National Testing Agency (NTA) had initially scheduled the release of the CUET UG results for June 30, but the results are still awaited.
