Narcotics including 'LSD biscuits' seized in Hyderabad

Celebrities from the Telugu film industry have been issued notices in another high profile drug racket case

The special task force teams of Hyderabad police on Wednesday continued its crackdown on narcotics. In yet another big haul, nine people including two Nigerian nationals were arrested for peddling narcotics.

The task force also seized 300 gms of cocaine, 42 gms of MDMA along with a host of other narcotics substances from the accused persons. The highlight of the seizure, however, was LSD-laced biscuits meant to hoodwink government agencies.

Task force teams from the West and North zone bust the drug racket in its continued crackdown on narcotics. Seized narcotics included LSD stamps, LSA seeds, Charas, Ecstasy pills and LSD biscuits. The gang indulged in lacing regular Marie biscuits with psychotropic drugs before selling them to clients. Cocaine was present in large quantities with the accused.

The crackdown comes on the day popular film director Puri Jagganath appeared before the department of Prohibition and Excise officials in connection with an earlier drug haul case.
