Family Tragedy Strikes Retired Officer in UP

The primary suspect in this harrowing case is Manish, the son of the retired sub-inspector. Following the murders, Manish reportedly attempted to take his own life by cutting the veins of his hand and neck with a blade while locked in a bathroom, fearing arrest. He was subsequently detained by the authorities and is currently receiving medical treatment under police supervision.

Superintendent of Police Arpit Vijayvargiya detailed that the Chhaprauli police station was alerted to the murder of two women by unknown assailants around 4 pm on Tuesday. The investigation swiftly pointed towards domestic turmoil, with preliminary findings suggesting a family dispute as the potential motive behind this distressing act.

Further insights into the family's dynamics came from local villagers, who reported frequent arguments between Manish, his wife Varsha, and his mother Saroj. Notably, a significant altercation occurred on the morning of the tragic day, escalating tensions within the household.

The bodies of Varsha and Saroj have been sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death and gather further evidence in this shocking case. Manish is slated for interrogation post-recovery, as authorities aim to unravel the circumstances leading to this violent outcome.

This incident has cast a shadow over Halalpur village, highlighting the devastating impact of domestic disputes when left unresolved. The police are continuing their investigation, piecing together events that culminated in this tragic loss of life.
