Don't cross ‘laxman rekha’: PM Modi's stern warning to BJP MPs
New Delhi, Dec 16: In a stern warning to party MPs, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday told them not to make any statement which give leverage to the Opposition.
Speaking at BJP parliamentary board meeting held on Tuesday morning, Prime Minister made it clear that the no party MPs should cross ‘Laxman rekha' and instead focus on development.

The Prime Minister also issued stern warning to MPs who comes late to the Parliament or party meetings, says media report.
PM Modi's warning has come in the backdrop of party leaders like Niranjan Jyoti and Sakshi Maharaj making controversial comments. While Union minister Sadhavi Niranjan Jyoti had used obscene language during a rally which also invited the wrath of the opposition, Sakshi Maharaj had called Nathuram Godse, who had killed Mahatma Gandhi, as a 'patroit'.
While Niranjan Jyoti later apologised in Parliament for her remarks, Sakshi Maharaj was later forced to retract his remarks and apologize.
