A video of the dog had surfaced on the social media, where it can be seen removing the power. The incident took place at Vijayawada.

In her complaint the TDP leader Udaya Sri said that was an insult for the CM, Jagan Reddy. She demanded that the real culprits be arrested.

An NDTV report said that the complaint by the TDP leader appears to be sarcastic. The TDP leader said that those who instigated the dog to remove the poster of Jagan Mohan Reddy, must be held responsible for the incident.

"We have requested the police to arrest the dog and those behind the dog who insulted our beloved chief minister," she was quoted as saying.

The dog tearing the poster of the AP CM had gone viral. The sticker on the slogan read, "Jagananna Maa Bhavishyathu" (Jagan anna our future) and was affixed to a house as part of the ongoing state-wide survey conducted by the ruling YSR Congress party.

"TDP members submitted a written complaint in regards to the video that's going viral. The said video is just to defame the CM and has no basis for the complaint. No FIR has been filed in this regard." Vijayawada Commissioner of Police, Kanti Rana Tata said.
