Do you think you can say what you want? NGT asks Sri Sri Ravishankar
The country's highest environmental court has criticised Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar for alleging bias.
Shocking -- that is how the NGT has described the statements made by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on the Yamuna riverbed issue. The Art of Living founder had said that the Centre, Delhi government and the National Green Tribunal should be held responsible for allowing his foundation to organise the World Culture Festival on the Yamuna floodplains in March 2016.

During the hearing on Thursday, the NGT lambasted the AOL and said, "Do you have no sense of responsibility? Do you think you have the liberty to say whatever you want?" The NGT also directed the petitioner to file an application with details of the statement so that it could take the issue on record.
The NGT had levied a fine, but the AOL shot back saying that if at all a fine has to be levied then it should be on the NGT, Centre and Delhi government.
The NGT had allowed the event to take place stating that the matter was 'fait accompli,' and hence they could not ban it.
