DMK chief Karunanidhi discharged from hospital

DMK supremo Karunanidhi who was admitted to the Kauvery hospital after he complained of uneasiness was discharged from the hospital. He left for his Gopalapuram residence after minor medical procedure.

Reports state that he was taken to hospital to change the artificial food pipe. He will return home in an hour, reports also state.

On December 15, Karunanidhi was re-admitted to the Kaveri Hospital in Alwarpet. He had complained about difficulty in breathing due to throat and lung infection.

On December 1, he was admitted to the hospital for "optimisation of nutrition and hydration". He was discharged on the night of December 7 and advised rest for a few days.
