Rishabh has finally addressed the backlash by sharing a video on his Instagram. According to him, every contestant participating in the reality show submits three personal secrets to the production team before entering the competition. These secrets are intended to function as "lifelines" that may be revealed during the game under specific circumstances.

Rishabh said that Akanksha herself had provided this information to the show's creative and production teams as one of her designated lifelines. He argued that the revelation of her secret was already a part of the game. Hence, Shreya's decision to use it was within the rules and should not be viewed as a personal attack.

He further explained that contestants are informed in advance that their submitted secrets can eventually be disclosed if they use it strategically during the competition. In his view, Shreya simply exercised a gameplay option rather than exposing private information outside the show's framework.

Rishabh also appealed to social media users to stop targeting Shreya over the incident. He maintained that she neither intended to disrespect Akanksha nor interfere with her personal identity. He urged viewers to understand the context before forming opinions.

For unversed, in a recent episode of Lock Upp 2, Shreya asked fellow contestant, Sufi Motiwala that if she could reveal a particular contestant's secret. To this, Sufi responded that it was a legitimate part of the game. Following Sufi's response, Shreya announced that Akanksha is bisexual.

The episode then shifted focus to Akanksha, and Shreya clarified that by using this information, she had activated one of Akanksha's lifelines under the show's rules. Shreya's action then eliminated Akanksha's another lifeline, leaving her with just one remaining.
