Balraj Gill, accused of disposing of ex-model Divya Pahujas body, has been sent to judicial custody. Pahuja was shot dead in a hotel room on January 2nd, and her body was later found in a canal.
In a significant development in the ongoing investigation into the murder of former model Divya Pahuja, the accused who allegedly disposed of her body in a canal has been sent to judicial custody. The accused, identified as Balraj Gill, was produced before a city court in Gurugram on Thursday and remanded to judicial custody.

Disposal of Body and Arrest
According to the police, after Pahuja was shot dead on January 2 in a hotel room, Gill allegedly kept her body in the trunk of a BMW car and later disposed of it in the Bhakra Canal near Munak in Sangrur, Punjab. The police revealed that Gill carried out this act with the assistance of his aide Ravi Banga, at the behest of the main accused, hotel owner Abhijeet Singh. Singh is also currently in judicial custody.
Based on information provided by Gill, the police were able to recover Pahuja's body from the border of Fatehabad district. However, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the murder case is still searching for Banga, whose whereabouts remain unknown.
Background of the Murder
The investigation has revealed that Pahuja's body was recovered from the canal on January 13, 11 days after she was killed. On January 2, Pahuja was taken to Hotel City Point by five individuals and shot in the head. The motive behind the murder is believed to be extortion, as Pahuja had allegedly been blackmailing Singh with obscene pictures, demanding money from him. However, her family has denied these claims.
Arrests and Ongoing Investigation
Following the discovery of Pahuja's body, the Gurugram Police initiated a thorough investigation and have so far arrested six individuals in connection with the case. These include Abhijeet, his partner Megha, Gill, Hemraj, Omprakash, and Pravesh. Abhijeet is alleged to have procured the murder weapon from Pravesh, who was apprehended on January 12. Despite these arrests, the police continue their search for Banga, who remains at large.
The investigation into the murder of Divya Pahuja continues to unfold, with the recent development of the accused who disposed of her body being sent to judicial custody. The police are actively pursuing leads and conducting searches to apprehend the remaining fugitive, Ravi Banga. As the investigation progresses, further details and insights into the circumstances surrounding Pahuja's murder are expected to emerge.
