Disabled girl fights all odds to help her family

Her parents did not want her to go to school, thinking she would not be able to write. However, on repeated request, she was finally sent.
Just within a month, she learnt to use her feet. She started taking tuitions and started correcting notebooks and writing with her feet.
"Back in school, I learnt how to write with my feet. In 2005 when I joined as para teacher, to write on the blackboard became a challenge for me," she said, adding that with practice and balancing her body, she was able to learn it.
She is now preparing to marry off her eldest sister, while the rest of her siblings are settled. She plans to take care of retired father and mother.
