Villagers informed Singh that the accused family has instilled fear throughout the area. Singh urged Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, who represents Guna as a BJP MP, to visit the village and witness the prevailing chaos. He emphasised the need for immediate action to restore order and ensure justice for the victim's family.
Law Enforcement Efforts
Inspector General Arvind Saxena reported that eight teams from Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan are actively searching for those responsible for the farmer's murder. "This is certainly a tragic incident. I have spoken to the complainant and inspected the scene of the incident. Following the FIR, three of the 14 accused have been arrested," Saxena stated. He assured that efforts are ongoing to apprehend all suspects swiftly.
Saxena also mentioned that Ganeshpura's location on the border necessitates joint police efforts from both states. He promised complete security for the victim's family, sharing his contact details with them and local villagers to ensure 24-hour protection.
Concerns Over Recent Incidents
In a separate issue, Singh addressed last week's molestation of two Australian women cricketers in Indore. He demanded strict action against those responsible and questioned why local police failed to provide adequate security. Singh criticised BJP minister Kailash Vijayvargiya's remarks following the incident, highlighting concerns over women's safety in the state.
Singh questioned Vijayvargiya's statement advising women not to go out without informing authorities. "The law and order situation in our state has deteriorated to such an extent that a minister has to say that no woman should go out without informing the administration. What does this mean? What will the administration do?" he asked.
The recent events in Madhya Pradesh have sparked debates over public safety and governance. Singh's comments reflect growing frustration with how authorities handle such incidents, urging immediate reforms to prevent future occurrences.
