Digvijay hits out at NDA govt over OROP issue
Ghaziabad (UP), Aug 25: Targeting Narendra Modi over the issue of 'One Rank One Pension', senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh has said that the Prime Minister was silent on matter despite earlier giving an assurance to soldiers in Leh that the scheme will be implemented.
"The PM had declared in front of soldiers at Leh that his government will implement the OROP scheme. So, why is the government now retracting its statement?" Singh asked while speaking to reporters here yesterday.

Taking a dig at the NDA government over its 'acche din' slogan, Singh said petrol, onion, pulses and chicken are selling at the same price in market. He also alleged that the export of beef had increased after the Modi-led BJP government came to power at the Centre.
On upcoming Bihar Legislative Assembly polls, he alleged that BJP was planning communal flare-ups to polarise votes in the state.
