Three Sisters Die from Diarrhoea in Gonda Village; Health Crisis Ensues
Three young sisters, including a baby, have died from diarrhoea in a village over the past three days, officials reported on Tuesday. Six others have been hospitalised. District Magistrate Neha Sharma stated that medical teams are stationed in the village, and a large-scale cleanliness campaign has begun.

Health Department's Response
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Rashmi Verma identified the deceased girls as Shiva, aged 2, daughter of Mahesh Datt; Pallavi, aged 8; and Chanchal, aged 20 days, both daughters of Ganesh Datt. The affected village is Bishanpur Sangam under the Itiathok development block. Verma added that those admitted to the local community health centre include Shradha, aged 4, daughter of Ganesh Datt; Sunita, aged 45, wife of Chandrashekhar; Anita Tiwari, aged 40, wife of Ugrasen; Aman, aged 22, son of Ugrasen; Deep Shikha, aged 22, wife of Aman; and Aadarsh, aged 16, son of Ugrasen.
Efforts to Control the Outbreak
Dr. Verma mentioned that a health department team has been dispatched to the village to spray disinfectants and urge residents to maintain cleanliness. "Several officials at the block level have interacted with the affected families," said District Magistrate Sharma. "The critically ill patients are receiving adequate medical care at the hospital."
Verma confirmed that all hospitalised individuals are in serious but stable condition. The health department's immediate response aims to prevent further spread of the illness and ensure proper sanitation in the village.
The situation remains under close observation by health authorities to manage and contain the outbreak effectively.
