Dharmendra Pradhan: BJP Leader Seeks to Contest 2024 Lok Sabha Elections from Odisha
The Union Minister and senior BJP leader, Dharmendra Pradhan, during an interview on Friday, acknowledged the opposition INDIA bloc as a challenge. The minister also revealed his intentions to contest in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections from his home state Odisha. He emphasized that he has requested his party for the same.
BJP's Stance on Upcoming Elections

Pradhan further stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) does not take any election lightly. The party's primary agenda is to ensure that Prime Minister Narendra Modi gets to serve the nation for a third term. When questioned about whether he perceives the INDIA bloc as a genuine threat, Pradhan responded affirmatively stating, "I consider this as a challenge."
Election Strategy & Vision
The BJP and its allied NDA do not treat any election casually. From ground workers to top leaders, everyone takes each election very seriously with Prime Minister leading them from the front. He added that PM Modi provides a report card of his work, appeals to people directly and exposes misleading statements and double standards of opposition parties.
Critique of Opposition Alliances
Pradhan critiqued other political alliances saying some are formed out of fear or arrogance while others are purely selfish acts without principles at their core. In contrast to these alliances formed without principles or clear objectives, Pradhan emphasized BJP’s commitment towards gaining public support through hard work.
Lok Sabha Election Plans
In regard to contesting in Lok Sabha elections from Odisha in 2024, Pradhan confirmed his aspirations saying "I have requested my party." This statement shows how confident he is about representing his home state and contributing towards its development under BJP’s governance.
In conclusion, Pradhan's remarks underscore the BJP's seriousness regarding upcoming elections and its determination to secure a third term for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. While acknowledging the challenge posed by the opposition INDIA bloc, he also criticized alliances formed without principles. His desire to contest from his home state of Odisha in 2024 further exhibits his confidence in the party’s policies and leadership. The BJP's strategy appears to be one of hard work and direct engagement with voters, as they aim to gain public support for a third term under PM Modi’s leadership.
