Devyani Khobragade: US to talk for protecting ties

Acknowledging India's concern over the arrest of Indian diplomat Devyani Khobragade, the US has decided to discuss the issue and think over the "clear apology" demanded by the Indians. Meanwhile, officials of India and US have extended their co-operation in preserving the $90 billion bilateral relationship.
"It's not just about diplomatic ties. We have over $90 billion in bilateral trade. We're supporting thousands of jobs in both of our countries," Jen Psaki, US State Department spokesperson, said. Also, the US Secretary of State, John Kerry, is also expected to meet Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid to discuss the case. Mr Kerry's earlier attempt at getting Mr Khurshid on line failed.
