Devyani Khobragade row: Now US diplomats in India to be stripped?

Reacting against US and its decision of strip-search of Devyani, the Samajwadi Party chief said, "Give a strong warning to America. Their people should be stripped naked too. Make them apologise."
The diplomat's treatment was also slammed in the Rajya Sabha, where the government is likely to make a statement tomorrow.

BJP leader Yashwant Sinha also reacted strongly. Sinha was quoted as saying, "It is time to that we see the mistakes that US diplomats did, which are against the Indian law. They should be handcuffed and should be taken to the police station."
n a strong statement, Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid vowed to "bring back the woman diplomat arrested in New York and restore her dignity. It is my responsibility."
The US, however, has not apologised but said it is reviewing the circumstances surrounding Devyani Khobragde's arrest last week in New York, for alleged visa fraud.
Sources said that India wants Ms Khobragade's case to be moved from criminal to civil as it feels the alleged visa fraud makes for a civil breach of contract, not a human trafficking charge.
