Mumbai, Sept 22: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis lashed out at well known journalist Rajdeep Sardesai, who had questioned BJP government over the meat ban in the state. In a curt reply to Sardesai's letter, Fadnavis said that a section of Media with some hidden agenda is trying to malign the state government.

He also said that though he doesn't reply to open letters, but this time it (letter) needs to be answered.
"BJP-led Maha government did not take the decision to ban meat. The Congress government in 2004 took this decision to close a slaughter-house for two days in Paryushan Parva and since then all municipal corporations has been implementing it", Fadnavis wrote to Rajdeep.

On the issue of former top cop of Mumbai Rakesh Maria who was recently removed from his post, CM took journalist to task.
