Max communal incidents during 2014-15 in UP: Govt
New Delhi, May 6: The maximum number of communal incidents occurred in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra during 2014-15, government said today.
In a written reply in Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju gave out the numbers of such incidents which happened during the last year and the first two months of 2015.

While a total of 148 communal incidents were reported from Uttar Pradesh during the said period, it was followed by Maharashtra at 128 incidents, Karnataka 89 and Rajasthan registered 81 such instances.
The other prominent states where these incidents took place include Gujarat 80, Bihar 79 and Madhya Pradesh 66 during the same period.
