Dera chief kept murmuring 'Oh god what is my fault' in jail, says inmate
A jail inmate of rape convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh spoke about how Dera chief spending his days in Haryana's Sunaria jail after being convicted by the special CBI court in two rape cases.
Swadesh Kirad, who is out on bail from Sunaria jail, told ANI: The day Ram Rahim Singh was lodged in jail, he kept murmuring "Oh god what is my fault, he couldn't sleep the entire night.''
Kirad, who was with Dera chief for five days, said: ''Gurmeet Ram Rahim didn't eat anything. '' Just had milk,tea,biscuits.''
''Also, there was no VIP treatment to Ram Rahim Singh in jail, he was treated like every prisoner,'' Kirad added.
But, other inmates were what had happened after the special CBI court judgment, recalled Kirad.
He said, '' Prisoners were angry due to violence that caused so many deaths. Had he [ Gurmeet Ram Rahim] not been kept separately, they would've attacked him.''
The moment verdict was pronounced, Ram Rahim Singh kneeled down and said "Hang me,I don't want to live anymore", said Kirad.
At least 36 killed following Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's conviction in a rape case. Nearly 30 deaths in Panchkula itself. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has been sentenced to 20 years in jail for raping two women.
