Bengaluru, Nov 16: The Karnataka government has cancelled the holiday for state run banks tomorrow. In a note the CM Siddaramaiah has made it clear that state run banks will function tomorrow.
In response to the reports in the media of public facing problems, the government has cancelled the holiday declared for Kanaka Jayanthi, the note also read.

The decision was taken with a view of easing the pressure of the public which is standing in long queues to get money exchanged following the decision on demonetisation.
A large number of people have been queuing up outside banks to get their currency exchanged.
A week back Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that all Rs 500 and 1,000 notes will no longer be legal tender.
