Delhi Weather Update: IMD Forecasts Continued High Temperatures Over Next 15 Days, Air Quality Deteriorates
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) indicates no relief from high temperatures. Over the next 15 days, both daytime and morning temperatures are expected to rise significantly.
Today, Delhi experienced a minimum temperature of 32 degrees Celsius, with the maximum expected to reach 42 degrees Celsius. Throughout the day, temperatures are likely to hover around 41 degrees Celsius.

Additionally, there's a possibility of a dust storm with speeds of 35 to 45 kilometres per hour late in the evening today. Meanwhile, Delhi's air quality is currently categorised as 'bad' due to dust particles, with an Air Quality Index of 274 recorded at 9 AM, falling under the 'poor' category.
Looking ahead, on May 8 and 9, the maximum temperature will reach 41 degrees Celsius, dropping to 24 degrees Celsius. May 10 and 11 will see a slight increase to 25 degrees Celsius for the minimum temperature.
On May 12, the maximum temperature will be 40 degrees Celsius, while May 13 will see a similar maximum with a drop in the minimum to 24 degrees Celsius. There is a 30 per cent chance of rainfall as reported by Sky Met Weather.
May 14 will be mostly cloudy with a maximum temperature of 39 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 24 degrees Celsius, according to Time and Date report. On May 15, the maximum temperature will be 38 degrees Celsius with cloudy skies.
May 16 will continue with cloudy skies and the same maximum temperature, while the minimum temperature rises to 31 degrees Celsius. Cloud cover will begin to decrease from May 17, with no change in the maximum temperature but a rise in the minimum to 32 degrees Celsius.
On May 18, clouds will appear in the afternoon with unchanged temperatures. Showers are expected on May 19, while the maximum temperature remains the same but the minimum settles at 31 degrees Celsius.
May 20 will be sunny with a maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius, while May 21 will see a maximum of 42 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 32 degrees Celsius.
