Delhi: Teenage driver kills 2, injures 3 after his car runs over a footpath
Two killed, three injured in Kashmiri Gate car accident in Delhi on Thursday.
New Delhi, April 20: According to reports, two people were dead in an accident in the national capital on Thursday. Around three people were also injured in the accident, police told the media.
The accident took place near Delhi's Kashmiri Gate, after a car driven by a class 12 student ran over a footpath. The police have nabbed the driver of the car. Sources say police are currently questioning the accused to know the exact reason behind the accident.

Teenage driving is a menace across the country. In India, a person can't drive or ride any vehicles, except for bicycle, if he or she is not 18 years old. The minimum age to apply for a permanent licence to drive a private motor vehicle is 18 years in India.
However, across India minors are seen driving and riding vehicles. The police said that they are yet to ascertain whether the driver of the car was 18 years or not.
Speaking to ANI, Jatin Narwal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North), said, "A case has been registered under IPC 304. The driver has been apprehended. The driver claims he has turned 18, but we are verifying documents."
